Oluchi, Highams Park School

Salt to the Sea

This was a thought provoking and page-turning read. It made you rethink the 2nd World War completely, due to the fact that it is told from the point of the innocent citizens fleeing harm's way (also a German recruit). It is all based on one of the worst maritime disasters ever; the sinking of the Wilhelm Gustloff, the tragedy that ended thousands of lives. i would recommend this book to anyone who wants a gripping and interesting read.
