Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth
I was not disappointed by Sputnik's Guide to life on Earth. I wasn't expecting much and I didn't get much. At all. The repulsive cover, off putting title and silly blurb do not mislead. It is a babyish book with a plot full of holes. It is possibly the worst book I have ever read.
The story follows Prez, who encounters a alien dog type thing named Sputnik. Prez is then informed that earth will soon be destroyed, unless he shows Sputnik ten things worth seeing on earth. But Sputnik has his own idea of 'amazing'.
I have to say, I think a seven-year-old would enjoy this book. It just wasn't my sort of thing. The sense of humour was completely off. The idea was good, but it was all wrong. I think it would rate it 1/5.
