Mrs Knapton, Shadow Readers @ SPHS
Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth
A much more light hearted read than the other books.
Prez's situation, in foster care, away from his sole carer, Grandad, who suffers from dementia, could result in quite a depressing read. However, combined with his relationship with Sputnik, who arrives from outer space, and the adventures they have together to save the Earth makes for a humorous story.
I'm not a huge sci-fi reader, but found this heart-warming and amusing, probably more suited to younger readers. It combined family values, relationships and humour.
