The Stars at Oktober Bend
The Stars at October Bend is a teenage love story told differently - told differently, badly.
The lack of capital letters makes it a frustrating read, ruining what could have been a decent book. Also, the random lists(supposedly to create a beautiful, poetical atmosphere, but in my mind fails to do it)do not add to the effect and could have an antagonistic effect on some readers.
It is not a book I would recommend. However, the author has clearly written a great book, but I feel it has not been portrayed properly. I like the idea, and can see where the author came from. I accept that some may like the book, but personally, it's not for me.
