This book was moving and emotional, making me feel all sorts of things for Beck, as he goes on such a painful journey, through such immense hardships, just to find a safe place he is happy in. He finds moments of peace, such as his year with Irma and Bone, but this just makes it even sadder when they are ripped away from him, leaving Beck with $200 that is stolen within a week. Over the book, I really understood Beck, and it made me appreciate how lucky I am.
