Emily, Our Lady's Abingdon (OLA)
I wanted to read Wolf Hollow first because of its great front cover and first line.
It is a book about lies and truth, love and trust, courage and bravery.
It made me cry, which very few books have done.
Wolf Hollow is a book about a girl called Annabelle, who is being bullied by another girl, Betty. Betty goes missing a little while later and everyone starts blaming Toby, who is a quiet, mysterious man. He is also innocent. The story then follows Annabelle as she has to try to get the blame away from Toby.
What I loved about Wolf Hollow was that there were parts in the book where it kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next, or what the character's idea was. This made me want to read on.
My only negative comment is that, despite the great first line, the beginning wasn't as enticing as some of the later chapters.
I would give Wolf Hollow an 8/10 because I really enjoyed reading it and I liked the sense of mystery that Lauren Wolk had written into the book.
