The Bone Sparrow

This book tells the story of a 10 year old boy, Subhi, living in a detention camp in Australia. Subhi was the first child to be born in the camp. His family, who were part of a small Muslim community hated by the Burmese authorities, were forced at gunpoint, along with others from the community, into a boat with no food or water and were then pushed out to sea. I liked this book because it had a strong message. "Hope can set you free" I recommend this book.
