Alan, Lancaster Royal Grammar School
The Smell of Other People's Houses
I really enjoyed this book because the way that it is told makes it very interesting. It is told from four different points of view in the first person which I at first thought might make it a bit confusing but it is always made very clear who is talking and it is very intriguing hearing each character's own opinion on certain events where multiple characters are present. I really like the way that at the start of the book the characters are doing different things but throughout the book their story lines intertwine. I also think that the characters' personalities are defined and developed throughout the book as it progresses.
I also find the story itself very good because of the unexpected turns it takes and the matters that it touches on.
