Cosmo, Exeter Cathedral School
This book interested me. The author's skill in world-building is evident from the off. The world is incredibly well realised. It lives and breathes in a context outside of the story. It is unlike any other world I've seen before and in a market as crowded as this, it's a welcome breath of fresh air. Unfortunately, storytelling takes a back seat for me. Though well-conceived, it just falls short of the brilliant world that sets it up so well. The characters are all well done and believable with stories that make you care. The ding satisfied as well.
