Anila, King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls

Railhead written by Phillip Reeve was an entertaining book, though I'm not sure it encouraged me to read more of its genre. Despite having a structured plot and interesting storyline, I just wasn't fully fascinated. Set in a futuristic world, where trains take you to wondrous places in the universe and these trains travel on a big rail network, this book follows the life of Zen Starling,a 'railhead' whose life is transformed after bumping into a mysterious girl in a red coat whilst escaping.
At the beginning, you do require some patience to get into the story, but as you read further into the book, your motivation to finish the book increases. Even though this book has been written with some thorough thought to it, the amount of information your brain has to process makes the story tiring to read.
Overall, Railhead was not entirely terrible and I can confidently say some part of me enjoyed it. Sadly this book is not one of my worthwhile reads, nonetheless it could be one of yours if you enjoy a good old science-fiction tale with hints of romance along with lots of adventure.
