The Smell of Other People's Houses
I really enjoyed this book because it's written in four different perspectives from the main characters, Ruth,Dora,Alyce and Hank. Each has their own story to tell some more heartbreaking than others.
Ruth is sent to a convent in Canada because she's pregnant, a hard time for a teenager. Alyce loves fishing, but now has a passion for dance, but can't bring herself to leave. Dora's terrified of her drunk, out of control Dad but then she suddenly gets a lucky break. And finally Hank is running away from his mum's new vile boyfriend. Each of these stories take you to different places, and shows you all kinds of emotions.
In the end each of these stories become entangled, with romance, history and love.
I would definitely recommend this book.
