I absolutely loved this book. The author, Francesca Sanna is very expressive and tells the story well.
This book is about migration where a happy family of four is broken up by the war and the family becomes a mother and her two children. But luckily in the end, they find a safe place.
The images in this book are amazing. They are colourful, vivid and clear. Even if the story was with the no words, I would have still been able to have understood the book. I also really like the part were instead of showing war the illustrator showed a picture of complete blackness.
I would really recommend this book to an age range of 5+. I think any age younger the reader would not have been able to have understood the book and its meaning.
In general, I think this is a brilliant and meaningful book. I would definitely recommend it.
