The Journey is about a mother and two children and how they migrated to get to a safe place where there is no war. The illustrations match the text really well so if you took the text away you would still be able to understand the story.
The colours match the mood of the story very well and it is easy to understand.
I really enjoyed the story, how they had to journey to get to a safe place and it is full of adventures of what troubles they had to go through and how scary it was. The Journey was really sad a times but in the end they succeed. My favourite part is in the end when they succeed, all in all I really enjoyed the Journey.
I’d rate this story 8/10 because I really enjoyed it but small children might not understand what war is and how the war took the father, but for slightly older children this book would be perfect. I think this book is aimed for children 5-9 years old.
