Mrs Harris, Pipers Shadowers
The Smell of Other People's Houses
I have just finished reading this for the second time and have found it even more mesmerising. A beautiful book full of hidden depths about growing up in Alaska in the 1970s and a powerful reminder that blood is not always thicker than water. The four narrator's stories are expertly interwoven to tell a story which remains with you long after the book is finished.
