The Smell of Other People's Houses
This book is really the first I have read of its type. It is rather unique in the way it conveys emotion to readers. Instead of using sympathy for characters, it makes the reader feel emotions that are not necessarily stated in the book rather than feeling the same emotions of the characters, which creates stronger feelings of like-mindedness towards certain characters and argument towards others. This is a trait which you won't see in many other books. I found the story line to be slightly too slow for my liking, but it wasn't anything too slow so I am sure some people would be completely happy with the pace. Overall, this unique book sheds light on some often-not-talked-about topics including subjects such as religion. I would recommend this book to close friends.
