Tidy

Tidy is a book written by Emily Gravett and is about a badger called Pete who goes over the top about keeping the forest clean. This starts by picking up all the leaves that fell of the trees he then, since the trees were bare he uprooted and cleared all the trees. After that there was a flood that left the ground muddy, in answer to this he covers the ground in concrete. After realising he had made a mistake he broke the concrete and was not so tidy from there on after.
In my opinion the images are quite plain and I find the colours too repetitive. Apart from this I thought the illustrations were good and very child friendly. The background is empty and white but it suits the illustrations well.
I would recommend this book to 4-6 year olds as the language is easy to understand and the plot is humorous to a younger audience. This book would be less appropriate to older reader as I think this book was written for young people and can appear bizarre to an adult or teen. I rate this book 6/10
