Maryam A, Kingsley Readers
Wolf Hollow is a book unlike any I have read before. Due to it's extensive language, the book is suitable for anyone and everyone whatever your age might be.
The main character, Annabel, is a young, kind child who is determined to find the truth and put everything right.
The book so cleverly attaches you to each of the characters and make you feel you know each and every one of them inside out. The book's plot is also a fascinating one since it grips you hard and makes you never want to put it down.
This well deserved book also incorporates the feeling of misjudgment, as you fell that Toby is a stranger and should be well avoided but soon you come to realize his reasons.
I also like the fact that Toby carries three guns. Two useless, one full. Three heavy loads that holds his hardships together. One he let his first one go, it was a sign that he had either forgave himself for something or had another purpose. And this is what arouse curiosity and indulged me into the book even more.
Another reason I liked this book is because there are twists and turns at every corner. Each page brings something new to the plate and the book jumps up and lashes at you every time you least expect it.
The book also includes the usual tale of a bully but in this case the bully doesn't open up.
The bully continues to create one problem after another and then comes to getting a piece of her own medicine.
The book also deals with the emotions one would usually experience while going through the course of bullying and teaches us to speak up. To face life with an open hand and accept it but also to know there's always someone who cares for you and can help.
This is a tale that I wont forget in a hurry and in a nutshell, is one of my favorites so far. It is the type of book, which I don't really read yet this book has changed me in a way that i would like to go on reading other works like this.
Overall, I give this heart warming book a hugely deserved 10/10 and would recommend to anyone, no matter their favorite genre.
