Wolf Hollow

From what I have read so far, I have found this book ok. At first, I found it a bit vague in terms of the setting and the situation (the war), but as I read through the section I managed to read, I could understand it a bit more.

I found the characters interesting as they seemed mysterious. I liked how the character of Betty was written and how she acted towards Annabelle; I found that interesting. I think that the characters seemed realistic and believable to me personally.

I found the story original. I haven't read anything similar personally so it was different to other books that I have read.

I found the writing style easy to understand. There were rarely any complicated words to read and understand. I found the pace quite slow and I didn't find it overall gripping for me.

I think the book could by improved by making the plot less vague at the beginning of the book. Therefore, it might be more gripping. Also, the book can be a little more revealing in terms of the setting and the characters.
