The Bone Sparrow

The Bone Sparrow is a story following a young boy called Subhi who lives in a refugee camp. It shows his positive/negative view of the world and follows his ups and downs. Although it could be a little slow at times, I found it very captivating and I almost cried at some points! The connection between Jimmie, an outside girl, and Subhi, is very interesting to watch as it develops. Overall, this was a very moving and entrancing book which I would recomend to readers between 12-15.
