Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

Sputnik's Guide To Life on Earth is about a boy called Prez who lives at the Temporary because his Grandfather had been taken away. Prez wants answers but appears to have lost the ability to speak. Sputnik, an alien, who people other than Prez see as a dog, meets Prez and claims to be a relative. But soon Prez finds himself having to defend the family from all sorts of chaos and dangers created by Sputnik. Together they have to find 10 wonderful things about the Earth that mean it is worth saving before the planet pest control shrink it. Whilst finding the things, they come across lots of exciting adventures using 'Sputnik's manual'. Meanwhile Prez has got something else on his mind: going home with his Grandpa, although he is locked in a retirement prison. Sputnik can't find a 10th item either. Prez tells Sputnik that the 10th item is in his Grandad's sea chest, however it appears to be a disappointment. In the end, everything goes smoothly and Sputnik leaves having found 'home' as his tenth item. I really enjoyed this book packed with fun, adventure, humour and suspense. I would definitely recommend this light-hearted book with a really engaging author to everyone.
