Wolf Hollow

I had mixed feelings when I finished this book. Overall, it was enjoyable with a good storyline and interesting characters. However, I felt it didn't quite live up to my expectations of a Carnegie nominated book. This was mainly because I was not quite sure which age group 'Wolf Hollow' was aimed at so that confused me slightly. I was originally under the impression that it was for younger children, (between 9 and 12 maybe). But then aspects of it were quite graphic, like Toby's description of the war for instance. This is why I would recommend this book to younger readers if they are used to reading more mature subject matter.
