Autumn Ford, Thomas Telford School
The Bone Sparrow
I really enjoyed this book, as much as it isn't what I would usually read. I think Zana Fraillon did a great job with this book because unlike some of the books I've read, I found this very easy to get into and it gave a real understanding of life in a refugee camp.
My favourite character has to be Eli as I felt like I truly new him, the author portrayed him in a way that made him seem much older then he was.
Whilst reading this book I felt very sad and near the end I actually shed a real tear, and throughout this novel the characters made me feel many emotions.
This is a great book and about a topic that we all need to take seriously. Its a book that everyone should read whether they are a teenager or adult.
