The Smell of Other People's Houses

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the others. However, I liked the fact the story was told by four different characters. The story had a lot of emotive languages, which made you understand the author's emotions. My favourite story was Ruth's.

I liked how the author used lots of description to describe the different characters and the setting. I liked Ruth's story the most because it was full of detail and her emotions were explained in an intriguing way. I also liked the fact that the characters all had their own personalities and opinions.

On the other hand, I did not like this book because some of the characters stories were depressing and sad. It wasn't funny. It was very sad in some parts of the book and I didn't like reading those sections.

Overall I think it was an ok book because of the description and Ruth's story. It would have been much better if the other people's stories weren't depressing. I would have liked the book more if it was funny.
