Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth
The book starts very unusually with a description of Prev’s grandfather and how he finds lists very important. It then goes into the first chapter of the books named ‘Spicy Chicken Wings’ and is about Prev’s first experience of Sputniks and the Blythe family. We also learn that Prev doesn’t speak a lot. When Sputnik first meets Prev he rings a portable doorbell while the rest of the family are arguing and therefore only Prev hears it. He meets the scissors wielding thing. On page 10 there is a picture of Sputnik and his reflection is a dog which explains lots of things (girls in party shaking hands with him) however Prev sees him as a human and doesn’t realise that other people see him as a dog. This is very original and is very clever. It is fascinating and funny and really recommend it.
