Genna , King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls
Wolf Hollow is such an eye opening book, in terms of coming of age. It delicately mixes beautiful descriptions of the countryside with the harsh reality of a child's point of view when something bad happens. The underlying current of innocence is shown through Annabelle's continual faith in Toby, even though she doesn't realise the bad things everyone else thinks he is capable of. It has the saddest ending possible. If you liked Secrets by Jacqueline Wilson, then you will love this book.
