Genna, King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls

Salt to the Sea

'Salt to the Sea' is the saddest and most beautifully written book I have ever read. It details a tragic event from the view point of several characters. It is an eye opener about the Second World War, not in the way of descriptions of battles, but the experiences of refugees who fear for their lives. If you like fictional representations of real events then this is the book for you.
