The Stars at Oktober Bend

This is a story about a girl called Alice who raises her eyebrows at Capital letters. I do not like this book because of a few reasons. She is a 15 year old girl who writes like she's 6 years old, but you might say this is because of the assault that happened to her when she was smaller but Manny also tells his story really badly from his point of view. Alice has no parents (parents are dead or dying (cliché) and only her younger brother is left. Manny is 16 and is an ex child soldier who's parents are also dead (parents are dead or dying cliché cliché). The plot is thin and Alice and Manny meet and become friends then more than just friends and one thing leads to another. I would not recommend this book because of these reasons and the poems she writes don't make much sense. It has a weak plot and boring story. Thumbs Down!!
