Salt to the Sea
Overall I really liked Salt to the sea.I liked the way I was written, switching between perspectives each chapter and meant that I was never tired. This rather grim tale set in the second world war tells the story of a group of refugees from different lands who all journey to the coast to escape the red army, in hope to board the Wilhelm Gustloff. These four different personalties, who have all had very different lives and unable to speak the same language still grows to care for one another in a time of crisis. This story is filled with the most miserable hardships endured such as one of a young pregnant polish girl who has fake her identity, other refugees die and leave all her family in order to be safe. This is just one. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
