Salt to the Sea

I have read "Salt in the Sea" and I really like it. The language the author(Ruta Sepetys) uses really captures the horrors that happened during World War Two but in a way that it is suitable for a range of ages.I really like Eva's character because all the characters try to remain happy and in their own world, however Eva brings us as the reader back down to reality to realise it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. I feel if her character wasn't in the story it would have been less tragic. On the the other hand it took me a while to realise who was speaking when, because of how short each chapter was, but when I got into the book I really enjoyed it. By far one of my favourite books now.
