Georgina, Chancellor's readers

The Bone Sparrow

The Bone Sparrow was the first of the Carnegie books I read for this year, and I can honestly say that I enjoyed it. Told from the perspectives of two children, the book is surprisingly dark at some points, but the story for the most part is told believably... The majority of the characters were endearing and I quickly grew attached to most of them, and the Shakespeare duck was, of course, the best character! Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and would strongly recommend reading it as soon as you can!
