Salt to the Sea

This novel shares the tragically untold story of a World War 2 evacuee ship, and the struggles of escaping the war.
Everyone knows the story of the British evacuees with stories like Narnia and Goodnight Mister Tom, but this story shows things from the Eastern side - the Poles and Lithuanians running from the enclosing might of the Nazis and the Russians.
I recommend this for 14 +, as some themes may be too complex or upsetting for young or sensitive readers.
