The Stars at Oktober Bend
I must admit, I found this book hard to get into at first. The narrator of most of the chapters, Alice, doesn't use any capital letters and her writing is very disjointed. However, as I got further into the book and discovered more about Alice, I realised the power of her unique voice and the beauty in her expressions. This is a very unique and poetic novel, which is well worth the disorientating style and slow start. Trust me, you won't want to put it down - especially once Alice and Manny have met...
