The Smell of Other People's Houses
The Smell of Other People's Houses is a book that is incredibly similar to the format of another Carnegie book 'Salt to the Sea', only it's much better.
When the book is begun, it seems as if the story is going to be long, drawn out and go nowhere, but suddenly a series of events happens (I am not going to spoil it) and it becomes one of those books that is hard to put down- you want to find out what happens next. It all becomes clear as what was happening in the beginning and why the book got off to a slow start.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it, it is one of the better Carnegie books.
