Railhead is an interesting sci-fi book. It follows Zen, a thief, who is enlisted by the mysterious Raven to steal a mysterious object known as the Pyxis. The book has a futuristic space-setting, with different planets, androids, and trains that can travel between worlds. The world and setting is really inventive and detailed, and you can tell the author really thought about it, but sometimes he was dumping so much irrelevant information on me that I felt confused. It also killed the plot, which was basic to begin with. Yet I still wanted to read on, and for most part enjoyed the world and plot. Zen and Nova were both pretty typical, bland characters, but Threnody and Raven were more interesting, as they actually had backstories/emotions.
A for most part enjoyable sci-fi read, that would probably appeal most to fans of the genre
