Mrs Hirst, St Edward's Senior School

The Bone Sparrow

A good book. I never knew about the Rohingya people - so the book is definitely an eye-opener, especially in relation to Australia's treatment of refugees in detention centres. There are so many layers to this book and many stories to tell. I love Subhi's hopefulness, and Jimmie's acceptance. Storytelling and the importance of family play an important role. 7.5/10
