Beck

Beck is certainly a very interesting book. It follows the story of a Liverpudlian child named Beck. His mother died at birth and he doesn't know who his father is. His life takes a drastic turn when he's put on a boat and sent to Canada. The rest is an adventure showing both worst and best of human nature. It's an awesome mix of adventure and romance that works really really well. It pays homage to some of the time period's unethical customs as well. In all, a great read. I would definitely recommend it!
