The Bone Sparrow

This book was a mix of me being on a the edge of tears, me laughing hysterically and nearly falling off my chair ,and being asked why I randomly started screaming in the middle of class. Mind the cliche, but the roller-coaster of feelings I felt reading this book had me anticipating the next chapter after every one I finished. In many cases the maternal senses within me screamed at Subhi's innocent mistakes, wanting to jump through the pages and look after him after his huge loss at the end.

Although most who read this book probably won't be in the same situation as Subhi, he represents the innocent side in all of us. Personally, my favourite character is Queeny, although she is not as innocent or immature as Subhi she portrays the harsher side in everyone, representing how we all probably would act in their situation.

I personally would recommend this to everyone who has a single taste in books, as all can relate to someone in this amazing book!!
