Salt to the Sea

I really enjoyed this book. To my surprise I got into it very quickly. Ruts Sepetys has really conveyed the emotions of young adults and children.
I started to realise how much people wanted freedom and how people did anything to protect their children and themselves. This book portrayed the hardships of war for young children and teenagers. It reminds us of how many people actually died. It really scarred the survivors and this book shows the reason why WW2 will always be a permanent stain. It showed me why Germany and many other countries affected would never be the same again. This is a phenomenal book and I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
