Henry, Latymer Prep

Tidy is a book about a badger who has an obsession with tidying up. If so much as a leaf fell, he would instantly pick it up and put it in a bin. But eventually he goes too far and begins to tear apart his environment I think the story has a bigger meaning than just an obsessive badger tidying up, I think the story shows exactly what humans are doing, destroying the environment for our own selfish needs. The illustrations are colourful and cheerful at the beginning when everything Is good, but when Tidy starts going too far and begins to destroy his environment it is darker and you see the first rain in the book, I think these choices of colours have a huge effect on me and display the story very well. I think that the book is an eight out of ten, and I would particularly recommend this book for four to seven year olds, although I think most ages would enjoy it.
