Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

The book is about a boy called Prez who meets an alien from outer space but the other humans see him as a talented dog. Together they search for ten things that are amazing about earth so that earth does not shrink and become the size of a tennis ball. Whilst doing this Prez is looking for his carer, his grandfather. Prez persuades Sputnik to search for his granddad as well saying that he will know the last amazing thing about earth. I enjoyed this book much more than I would of expected to and I liked Prez's character because he was a silent kid but still somehow helped save earth from shrinking and saved the Blythes youngest daughter at her birthday party when she had a lightsaver and used it to cut down the tree in their backyard. In addition, I really liked how Sputnik always said to read the manuals of everything because in the end they have an different purpose. I would recommend this book but maybe more to younger readers.
