The Bone Sparrow

This book tugged on my heartstrings like I knew it would, however it wasn't because of the heart breaking twists or the depressing setting, no, it was the countless printing errors that ruined the tone of the book.

That includes zeros instead of 'o's, and full sentences missing spaces out, so it looks like one long word. I spent around 5 minutes trying to work who Henods was, until I realized that in fact they meant 'He nods'.

On inspection, these mistakes WERE fixed in the hardback version, but regardless of that, it still ruined my reading experience.

In regards to the book's actual content, the story was paced well until the last few chapters, in which the story seemed too rushed. The characters were well written, but the ending wasn't satisfying enough for me.

I would have given 4/5 if not for the printing errors. Well done, publishers, you've earned the book a 3/5.
