Niall, Ermysted's

Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

I liked this book a lot as it was funny and light hearted, without any of the death destruction and sorrow found in the rest of the books that have been shortlisted. I personally found the book to be extremely funny and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I liked the lack of realism in the book and the way people reacted to Sputnik's various impossible feats as if they were relatively normal. I also liked how Sputnik could read the instructions for anything and make it work in bizarre and amazing ways, such as the TV remote that he made rewind anything around him rather than just the images on the TV. In conclusion I would say it was my second favourite Carnegie book out of the out shortlisted. Would rate this book eight out of ten.
