Mushkan, King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls

Saint Death

Saint Death. First glance and it may not seem the best of books, however, the minute you start to delve deeper into the story that is set in the wasteland of Anapara, Mexico, you want to keep reading. Following the story of Arturo was quite a thriller with the havoc he and his friend get into when being in deep poverty. The only way they could survive was to take a hand in gambling and cheating drug lords at their own game.
The author makes the characters seem believable, the setting seem believable and the plot line seem believable. It is like we are there and experiencing the story first hand.
One thing that could be improved in this thriller is the beginning of it. It may sound slightly long winded, however, once the background information is set, I can assure you the story gets better every minute.
