Where the World Ends
This is a well-written, easy to read novel with considerable historical and geographical interest, but it is very slow-paced and not for those who thrive on plot and action. There is a central intrigue which is sustained well throughout the novel and some readers will find it moving. I doubt it will appeal broadly enough to be a hit with shadowing groups, but it certainly has a unique quality which is valuable when there are - quite frankly - so many formulaic YA novels these days.
