The Stars at Oktober Bend

I found the book 'The Stars at Oktober Bend' amazing because of the amount of detail and the atmosphere that is created through the main character, Alice. In addition, I like the way she looks at things even though she had a brain injury as she now has a unique way of seeing things and writing about them. I think the author did a really good job of this book because she had to portray a 'broken' girls perspective and through that she also manged to make me feel really sad for the Nightingale's problems but at the same time feel happy for Alice's accomplishments. I would rate this book a 9.5/10 because at first it is hard to understand Alice's language but after you read it you understand all of the details and why Alice's speech is so slow and slurred. I would definitely recommend this book this book to other people.
