The Smell of Other People's Houses

I think that this is probably my favorite book, it has many point of views, which makes it similar to salt to the sea, yet they are completely different. This book shows the lives of four different people with different pasts who are much more linked and tangled up with each other than they know, this builds onto the uniqueness, originality and surprise. This book has it all from young love to abandoned orphans, to family reunions. Its a comforting book set in Alaska from the POV's of Ruth, Dora, Alice and Hank.
while Ruth must leave on an sudden emergency, and Alice is dragged to a fishing trip, Dora is still recovering from her ex-family, Hank is having to worry about looking after his brothers. but how do they end up together?
