Sam, St Bede's Inter-Church School

PLEASE NOTE: In this review I am not trying to insult the Carnegie judges I am just expressing my opinion which is backed up by what I think accurate deductions, in advance I'm sorry if you are offended in the unlikely chance of you reading this.

From what I've heard and read, I think this is the best book of them all however unfortunately I think it's 'too good to win' if you get what I mean. For example, I'm certain many of you out there have found a really good book from carnegie you love but in the end it doesn't win and you are left wondering why. This is probably because the books you like don't appeal to the judges and my guess is in the context of this book it involves too much sci-fi and action. Now this isn't saying every adult only likes deep, boring books it is just from experience that they like the books that contain more mind action than physical action for example: Buffalo Soldier and One both of which dealt with discrimination due to race or a disability. So this book contains too much of the 'exciting stuff' that makes it interesting. Moving on, I think Railhead was a great book that really developed the characters which were Motorick or Human which is quite hard as they are robots. For example I really liked Flex(SPOILER) who was a Motorick and hated her death as well as Nova's.(NO MORE SPOILER), also the plot was well developed and each part contained a plot just as good if not better as the last. Finally, I can't wait to read the sequel after Carnegie is over.
