Salt to the Sea

"Salt to the Sea" by Ruta Sepetys - Book Review
Salt to the sea is a very realistic and interesting book that bases off the, unfortunately, tragic event of the Wilhelm Gustloff ship in WW2. Using the historical experiences, the author (Ruta Sepetys) was very much able to create an effective way of expressing the truth of what really happened. Through four different main characters, the author each tells their own journey of what they encountered eventually all meeting together on the ship.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book because the author was able to create an emotional atmosphere/rollercoaster when something melancholy or exciting occurred. I was able to picture it in my mind. Therefore, I would definitely recommend the book to people who like to read diary entry type stories where the character/s tend to speak in the first person. Five out of five Stars from me!
