This is the third book I have read since the beginning of the Carnegie Shadowing sessions, and I was pleasantly surprised by the originality and detail with which the book stands out. Every paragraph holds a fragment of information that makes you more excited to read the next, and for a fast reader like myself, I was able to take every word in despite the complexity, and I was very satisfied with the result. Who wouldn't want to find themselves as a hero in the place of an antagonist every once in a while? A theif who saves lives is not like a superhero who kills. My only issue was the various plotholes that remain unresolved, such as the status of Myka and Ma (Zen Starling's family)? I am aware that there is a sequel to this story, and I sincerely hope that at least the significant plotholes are explained and solved, because I don't particularly enjoy confusing cliffhangers - However, this is just my opinion, not the overall, thus I think this book was a fantastic preview of the author's wide imagination, and I can't wait to find an opportunity to beg my parents to buy me the same book for myself - as well as the sequel.
