Wed Wabbit is written in a very easy to read style and yet it has a complicated story line.
It is quite a childish book and I think it is too young to have on the Carnegie shortlist.
Although it covers the theme of teamwork and working with people you may not get along with, it is more of a book for children aged 5-7 to read with their parents as it also has themes of over-protective parenting.
Overall, I would say that Wed Wabbit is a good book but just not a mature read for the Carnegie shortlist.
